PaK resident’s body recovered in Gurez River | KNO

Srinagar, July 09 (KNO) : A body of a seven-year old boy was recovered from Kishanganga River near Achoora Sindiyal area of Gurez Valley in Bandipora district on Tuesday. Officials told KNO that some locals spotted a body floating on the Kishanganga River near Achoora Sindiyal area of Gurez valley and accordingly informed the police about it. A police team rushed to the spot and retrieved the body from the Kishanganga River with the help of locals, Station House Officer (SHO) Gurez Tariq Ahmad told KNO. The body has been taken to Gurez hospital for medico-legal formalities. The deceased was identified as Abid Ahmad Sheikh, son of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh and is believed to be the resident of Minimarg Astoor area of Gilgit Baltistan of Pakistan. Sources said that he had gone missing while returning from School. They said that it is suspected that he may have slipped and fallen in a tributary of Kishan Ganga River.(KNO)
